Out for a spin yesterday when I saw this City of Vancouver crew working on the mysteriously shrouded bike counter.
One person told me that the current plan is to put it into operation in the first week in January, 2015.
The counter is located at the south end of Burrard Bridge, on the west side of Burrard Street.

Zooming in to the picture I can see that it uses the correct “Bicycles Today” instead of for example, “Cyclists today”. I like this.
Sometimes the wording used causes the idea that there are people who are getting something and therefore other people are not. Using this wording then make it not about any class of person but about the vehicle. More accurate and more inclusive too. Potentially inclusive to everyone.

Assuming that all five men in high – viz vests are city employees it’s no wonder CUPE backed Vision in the election.
