Real Estate Development Challenge – Day 3

January 30, 2013

Yesterday’s question:

Emphyteutic is a real estate term used in Quebec.

True.  It is a form of lease under the Napoleonic Code which provides under the law ownership for a period between 9 and 99 years.

Today’s question:

Condominium lots (strata title) can be sold on privately held leased lands.

True or False?

Answer tomorrow morning.

You’d have known the answers already if you took Real Estate Development from the Inside Out: insight into the industry for people who deal with real estate developers or want to learn how the development industry is structured, how it functions, who the players are, what motivates them, and how they interact.

Herb Auerbach and Michael Mortensen will be teaching the course on Mondays from Feb 16 to Mar 19.  More here from the SFU City Program.
