The Dutch Do It: Constructing a house with a 3D printer

January 23, 2013

I don’t know which is more amazing:

(a) Building a house modelled on a Möbius strip.

(b) Doing it with a 3-D printer.

From De Zeen:

Dutch architecture studio Universe Architecture is planning to construct a house with a 3D printer for the first time.

The Landscape House will be printed in sections using the giant D-Shape printer, which can produce sections of up to 6 x 9 metres using a mixture of sand and a binding agent.

Meanwhile in the US the goal is to build high capacity assault weapons with a 3d printer to get around future possible gun control.
